Holoscenes

A groundbreaking performance art installation by artist Lars Jan, Holoscenes is a large-scale work featuring a massive, hydraulically operated aquarium-like chamber in which performers enact everyday routines as the chamber rapidly fills and drains with water. The piece explores human adaptation to environmental change and has been performed in public spaces across the world.

Holoscenes has since been celebrated as a visionary intersection of performance art, engineering, and environmental commentary, earning critical acclaim for its technical execution and its powerful public engagement with the issue of climate change.
