Pineville NC Residential Infill
This residential infill project transformed a one-acre asphalt parking lot into a thoughtfully planned community of four single-family homes, each approximately 2,500 square feet. The redevelopment replaced an entirely impervious site with significantly more pervious surface, improving stormwater management and creating a more sustainable, environmentally responsive condition.
The homes were designed with smart, open, and functional layouts to support modern family living, while also prioritizing energy efficiency and long-term performance. Each residence was designed to be solar-panel ready, ensuring future adaptability to renewable energy use.
Architecturally, the homes take inspiration from the classic row houses of Charleston, SC, blending timeless character with a modern context. Balconies and patios extend living areas outdoors, fostering stronger neighborhood connections while also offering private outdoor retreats for residents.
Unlike many of the production-style homes commonly built in the surrounding area, these residences emphasize charm, warmth, and individuality, resulting in a community that combines thoughtful design, sustainability, and livability. The project demonstrates how infill development can provide both architectural distinction and environmental responsibility
