Dubai Fountain

As part of the iconic development at the base of the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain was conceived and built as the world’s largest choreographed fountain system, transforming the 30-acre Burj Lake into a global landmark and cultural attraction.

The design is anchored by five giant circles and two arcs arranged within the lake, creating a theatrical stage for water, light, and sound. The fountain system incorporates over 1,200 high-powered jets and 375 individually controlled underwater robots, all precisely choreographed to music and enhanced with vivid color and light projections. At full power, the jets can propel water more than 500 feet into the air, making the fountain both a spectacular visual landmark and an immersive performance experience.

Supporting this massive infrastructure are nine equipment rooms, six of which are located directly beneath the feature, housing the mechanical, electrical, and control systems that allow for seamless operation and programming. The integration of cutting-edge engineering with artistry ensures the fountain can deliver performances that are both technically complex and emotionally captivating.

The Dubai Fountain has since become one of the most recognized and visited water features in the world, celebrated for its innovation, scale, and ability to engage millions of visitors annually with its unique fusion of art, technology, and engineering.
